The “sparks” section is intended to encourage debate around questions of general principles in phonology. Submissions are expected to present a problem of principle in phonological analysis and make a contribution as to what can be done with this problem. As in our other contributions, reviewers will be encouraged to react publicly, and the author will be able to reply to those reactions. Hopefully, phonological sparks will fly.

Contributions to the “sparks” section are limited to 5 pages, 1.5 spaced.
